I received the 2015 NCWIT Harrold and Notkin Research and Graduate Mentoring Award for my work on mentoring my own graduate students, my role as the faculty advisor to the Women in Computer Science (WiCS) group at UCSB, and my work leading the computer science graduate program during my time as the department's vice chair.  I am very honored and thrilled to have received this award!

Prof. Amr El Abbadi and I received a Grand Challenge Explorations award from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to develop a low-cost cellular solution for improving uptake of vaccinations in rural populations.
I was elected to the 2014 class of IEEE Fellows.
I received the Pacific Business Coast Times “40 Under 40” Award in 2013.
